Hi. My name is Shehzeen Rehman and I write The Desi Wonder Woman blog. I’m of Pakistani origin and currently live in Dubai with one person who likes to call himself my husband (I’ve tried to stop him but he keeps showing me some legal document with our signatures…).

I do style, food, beauty, travel, decor and conversation for the regular girl. I’m not an expert at anything (except perhaps bad jokes) and only share content that I truly, truly love myself. I love writing about stuff that can be your 5 minute timeout everyday from work, school, nasty boss, general life so whenever you need a break, grab your choice of caffeine and come to the blog – I’ll have something for you.

You can also check out the FAQs for more details on the blog and myself (and you could also read up my formal introduction to the blog from a while ago).

Thanks for coming to the blog and I hope you stay for a bit.

  1. So I had been following you since the past few days just for random everyday readings but today, I honestly spent three consecutive hours (still continued) to read EVERYTHING from oldest to latest posts in each category 😀 hahahahha! That's one hell of a job! You're doing a great job here 🙂 Totally admirable. Three words, KEEP IT UP!

Drarshazim: HOW SWEET. Absolutely in love with you haha. Thank you so much!

  3. hi would love to get in touch with you for a feature on masalamommas.com, do you have an email contact? Anjum Nayyar.

  4. I have loved your blog since-don't-know-when specially for the reason that you kicked your corporate job and now entertain women like us (stuck in corporate).

Few days back, I was reading your blog during my lunch hour when my Indian colleague looked at your picture and was awestruck that how beautiful you are. He is a guy so I told him "dude she is married."

I had to tell you this hence dropping a comment 🙂
You are super awesome in making anyone's day.

I LOVE YOU. If I make your day, it's comments like these that make mine. I really love it when a long time reader comments, so much, much gratitude 😀

p.s. hi indian colleague, here are some fries. ^_^

  5. GET A LIFE ..

  6. Hi. I recently came across your profile on my instagram feed, and when i probed (stalked?) further I realize I had heard about you before from a friend, who found your feeds quite interesting, after which I followed your insta/fb/snapchat posts for a couple of days to see all that you had to offer. After reading up one can clearly deduce that there is no doubt that you are a smart and intelligent individual (especially when you claim several times how you had a very high paying job with perks and were promoted yada yada, we got the hint the first time you said it lol) who has understood the know-how of blogging and has able to carve a niche audience for herself. However, one can also deduce that you also seem like someone who is attention hungry and likes to self glorify your life, whether its getting a mani pedi or whether its going out for lunch or whether its just staring at an empty glass. Some posts are informative and funny, whereas some just seem down right forgive me for saying, retarded. Like i said, I don't mean to troll or anything but I think you could probably achieve what your trying to do in a better light without the irrelevant showcasing of life's mundane and possible non mundane moments every second of the day. Social media is just like the patterns on our desk lawn prints these days, little can go a long way, otherwise it just looks like a diarrhea of colors! Don't make your life a social spectacle, make it worth people's time! 🙂

    1. It is so disturbing that we, as a society, have a holier-than-thou complex on each and every thing. We just have to poke our noses in every thing and criticize just for the sake of criticizing. Sad. Learn to love people. Let go of the negativity. If anyone has seen "Bambi" when they were little then they should remember "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".

  7. Shehzeeeen! I came across your blog a couple weeks ago in passing and checked it out. I later closed all the webpages I had open and went to bed, and honestly I can't remember any of the other sites I had open, but somehow I find myself coming back to yours time and time again. So needless to say, I think I'm hooked and it's about time I give in! Love the blog girl!

Oh man Baneen, I was dying at my laptop right now, sleepy and tired, and you just pumped me up. Haha. Thank you so much for the love. So happy you found it and I hope you stay FOREVAHHHHH.

  8. A long time reader; just wanted to say I really enjoy your blog. Always puts a smile on my face!

Thank you! Was this one of your 365 days of kindness? 🙂 I'm happy I got one day!

  9. I like your writing style. Short, Good and Effective. Your gift is that you don't indulge in unnecessary thoughts. Keep up the great work.
