Hey guys. So I’m considering doing a monthly favorites kind of post where I share with you guys some stuff that I’ve really been liking (could be anything, accessories/clothing/cosmetics, etc). Except that it won’t necessarily be monthly, totally dependent on whether I have something that I like enough at that time (nothing worse than forcing yourself to create content just because it’s ‘regimented’). So anyway, this is just a test, if you don’t like it, let me know, it will be gone from the blog faster than you know it (please keep it civil, you can do badtameezi with your mummie). If you do like it, let me know that too, because, of course.
Some of you asked for something like this on Snapchat and then there are some things that I receive and like but don’t really know how to share with you guys quick enough, so perhaps they can slip into this? Anyhoo, let’s explore.
So here are two things I got my hands on this month that I enjoyed wearing so much.
White Semi-Formal Outfit from Cashmere by Izza
I’ve written about the shawls by Cashmere, what can I say, I really like her stuff. I received this gorgeous white outfit from her sometime ago and loved it. It’s typically not something I would pick out because my wardrobe categories range between casual wear and do-not-show-to-the-public pajama wear. But it’s very pretty and I know my sister would drool over this like anything. It’s also incredible how well it fit me, despite me only saying size ‘medium’ to Izza. It actually feels like a custom fit so I’m also considering my options on abducting her tailor somewhere in the near future.
The fabric is pure lawn and the shirt is embroidered with pure silk thread. The dupatta is pure chinese crinkle chiffon (SO PRETTY) and the trouser is in chikan (spelling?).
If you like a more conservative design with no holes in the fabric, that can also happen for you through the magical powers of cotton. Since all the stuff is pure, pure, pure this is a very dye-friendly design so you can have it in any color your heart wants.
This is a 3-piece unstitched outfit and will cost you about PKR 6000. If you want the stitching (it’s SO good), you just need to add in an additional PKR 1500 and you’re done. It’s purr-fect for a slightly formal occasion and a very timeless design.
Btw, I noticed on their Facebook page that Cashmere by Izza has a popup happening in Islamabad on August 19th, so in case anyone’s interested, here are the details for you. You can follow Cashmere by Izza on Facebook right here and on Instagram here.
Kohatis from Chapter 13
I’m a flats lover and I love Kohatis and I love Chapter 13 for making them relevant for us (remember, how everyone started doing the peshawari chappal once they started?). I’ll take a disco design anytime, particularly on my shoes and so I almost hugged these ones as soon as I saw them.
They’re comfortable and easy to wear. Because my legs are directly responsible for storing half the nation’s excess deposits of fat, I feel like kohatis flatter me more since they’re the lightest peshawari design (the full one makes me look a little strange I think). I have solid plans to wear them with all kinds of denim, or white shalwar kameez, etc etc. They’re called Mela (crushing on the name) and they can be yours for PKR 5195, just buy here. I am usually a size 8 in most shoe brands and I wear a size 9 in Chapter 13 (my foot are quite chubby and broad from the front btw).
You can follow Chapter 13 on Facebook here and on Instagram here. (Perhaps you might want to keep an eye on their new Secret Garden collection coming up, I love these ones). Btw, their new website is launching soon, you can sign up for their newsletter there (I hate newsletters in general but I always sign up for my favorite brands). UAE guys, some of Chapter 13’s stock is available at Boulevard One incase you didn’t know.
That’s it. Don’t forget to tell me about the post if you want to continue or not. Bye bye.
