Fridays

Being back in Dubai after the longest time away ever has made me realise how much I love this city. It has the person I love, my small, sweet home, special friends, delicious food and a vibe that you only discover once you look beyond the typical 'plastic feel' comments you get to hear all the time. I feel so humbled that I have the chance to live here and am so grateful to be back home. We went to the Butterfly Garden with Nabeel's mom last weekend and this gorgeous creature hung out with me for a bit in there. // You can ask for the butterflies to be placed onto you, just don't touch their wings please.

Took a tiny walk through the neighborhood earlier this week. The weather was perfect, the sky was perfect, it was all good.

Love it when people close to me give me men's fragrances without question. My sister gifted this on my birthday when I got to her place back in January, getting around to using it now. (I just prefer men's fragrances, no special reason)

The tissue box that had Nabeel's life upside down. He saw it at Dragon Mart and immediately wanted it but they were selling for aed 280 and weren't bargaining so he found it on Ali Express (his second love interest) for about AED 110. He ordered this before I left and has been impatiently waiting for it since. It finally arrived this week and he actually went to pick it up from his work over the weekend because he just.couldn't.wait. #whatismylife

Trying to give some CPR to my face after 5 weeks of abuse (I'd been sleeping with my makeup on every night which is now making my skin look like toilet paper). I randomly bought this mask at Target (from the US not Dubai, just in case someone's wondering/shocked about Target being here) and giving it a go this weekend.

If anything brightened your week or there's something you're looking forward to for the weekend, I'd love to know. Have a great weekend, you guys.

  7. Dubai is love. Having recently moved to US, finally made me realize what we had been taking for granted for the last 7 years of living in the emirate. If only there was a way it could be called "home" always.

  8. Exactly! Dubai is home. It can always be preferred for living over vacationing. Moved back to Pakistan last year and miss Dubai like anything. And ofcourse that tissue box is bomb.
