5 Days Of The Lob: Day 1
YO. Peepulz. 5 Days series is back after quite some time (thank you Areej for suggesting it on Insta, high-five). I'm going to do 5 ways of styling/doing the lob/long bob and it's all going to be easy, quick stuff you can do on the everyday (I don't know how to do sophisticated anyway).
I've been looking up ideas on the internet ever since I got the chop and there are some interesting styles that look so great. However, some of the flashier styling options require time, commitment and skill and at any given point in time, I'm lacking at least one of those. So I've strictly stayed away from things that would take you more than 5-10 minutes to accomplish and/or also not look overdone.
I'm a huge fan of basics and my ultimate goal is effortless chic (I hope to get there one day) and so this is an attempt at that.
Rambling over. Here we go.
Day 1 of Styling a LOB: Side Pinned
How did I do it? Like I said all the hair is going to be pretty straightforward but I'll explain anyway. Loosely curled my hair and then pinned back about 2 inches of it on one side. Done.
Time it took: Pre-curled hair (mine was from a day prior): 1 minute / Waves + Pinning: 6 minutes (it takes me about 5 minutes to add the waves, especially now that my hair is so much shorter)
Variations on this?
a) Instead of simply pinning back add a braid or twist and then pin back.
b) Pull the hair back tighter and pin to make it severe.
c) Do it with straight hair, like that right below, YA (sorry hair very dry because I don't know why).
Products I used on my hair (first image): Loreal Elvive Color Protect Shampoo, Hask Macadamia Oil Conditioning Hair Treatment, Oribe Texturizing Spray. Used a regular conditioner and skipped the spray in the second image.
What'd you think?
Day 2 tomorrow!
