This weekend I've decided I'm mostly going to be home with just a quick trip out to get some plant essentials (potting soil, fertilizer, blah blah) because my plants are growing big, big and need to be readjusted (who would have thought I'd ever get there). At home, I have an ambitious list to get a tiny bit of organizing done in my room, do some reading on the balcony (before the weather gets all evil), attempt a recipe,  and get going on one of the Oscar movies from my urgent watch list. (Wearing - Light knit: Aeropostale, Nailcolor: OPI's You Don't Know Jacques).

One of my goals this week was to clean up the house of horrors that was my office area and realized that a key sign of being delusional is when you only organize three drawers but feel like you've resolved the middle east crisis. Found these tickets for the first movie that N and I watched together after our wedding (transformers, so romantic) and felt really excited (though I had no idea I'd saved them and neither one of us remembered that was our first movie; totally crushing relationship goals I think).

Fruit falooda at Haji Ali (they need to get me onto some loyalty program or something). This was at their JLT branch.

Had a really nice breakfast with N at this cosy little place called Mozzo Centrale on Umm Suqeim a few days ago. The ambience was killer, the interiors were absolutely amazing. The food was decent, not kickass, but perfect for a relaxed hangout with a friend. You know, like a neighborhood place with good food and really comfortable vibes. Also, if I ever had to work out of a café type place, this would be it; they had the most sexy setup - large table for big group meetings, nice couch for smaller ones. We ate outdoors because the weather was still so good but can't wait to go back and hang out inside with a mint lemonade (one of the best I've had).

I talked about the amazing makeup my sister did on me last month for a wedding and so many people asked me about how to see more of her work. So I've helped set up a Facebook page for her with some snippets of her work. She's been doing this very low-profile since 10 (?) years now and while I've always liked what she did, I think over time her skill level has become excellent. And since I felt that now I LOVE what she does, it can go on my blog (in almost three years of this blog, I haven't spoken of her once, that should tell you something). She hasn't always photographed her clients so her 'portfolio' is tiny but good enough to get an idea of what she can bring. Her rates are incredibly affordable and now I've been blabbing for 5000 years so I'll stop talking and let you browse her Facebook page here. You can inbox or WhatsApp her for any questions (please don't ask me cos I don't know anything, lulz).

Have a great weekend, guys.

  2. I was so happy that we finally will have some sun since its March and we had really great sun for like two days (haha, I know two days!) I planned all my trips to the plant shops (I LOVE my indoor plants and have some 15+) and read all about their fertilizer and re-potting stuff (they have outgrown the present ones) and this city bestowed us with another sessions of snow! :X ALL PLANS CANCELLED TILL I HAVE THE SUN AGAIN!
But when you have your plants survive an entire 7, 8 months of winter/sunless days, its like the best feeling!! :D
    Have a nice weekend! x

    1. Wow you're a pro. I'm very much at fluke level. And that too only with desert plants which are only the easiest plant ever :D I'm convinced your plants are much more refined. And of course, sucks about the snow :P

    1. TEA FESTIVAL?!?!?! Multiple tears.
And Transformers was the rosie huntington one, who I really like so it was okay, but still deserving of much judgment :P
